KIDS’ NIGHT ON BROADWAY ANNOUNCES GOOGLE+ HANGOUTS ON AIR FEBRUARY 25TH AND 27TH

The inaugural KIDS’ NIGHT ON BROADWAY® GOOGLE + HANGOUTS ON AIR will give kids the opportunity to go behind the scenes of their favorite Broadway shows via live, interactive video chats with Broadway cast members.

The hangouts will be hosted by Julie James from Sirius XM On Broadway’s ‘'Broadway Names with Julie James” and “Broadway Buzz,” and are scheduled to take place during Kids’ Night on Broadway Week - on Tuesday, February 25th and Thursday, February 27th from 5:00pm - 5:30pm live.

Go to KidsNightonBroadway.com/ hangouts to tune in. Kids can submit questions in advance or during the hangout by visiting KidsNightonBroadway.com/ hangouts and clicking the link to their selected hangout; then click the “Q & A” button on the upper right-hand corner of the video screen.

Everyone is welcome to watch our Google+ Hangouts On Air, but kids must be 13 years or older to own a Google account in order to participate and ask questions.

Shows participating in the Google+ Hangouts On Air include:

Tuesday, February 25th :

Cast members from BRONX BOMBERS, CHICAGO, A GENTLEMAN’S GUIDE TO LOVE AND MURDER, THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, and PIPPIN.

Thursday, February 27th :

CARLY RAE JEPSEN and FRAN DRESCHER, currently starring in RODGERS + HAMMERSTEIN’SCINDERELLA.

An audience development program created by The Broadway League to make theatre accessible, encourage theatre as a form of family entertainment, and build larger audiences for the future, Kids’ Night on Broadway is when kids ages 6 to 18 can see participating Broadway shows for free February 24th to March 2, 2014, when accompanied by a full-paying adult.

In addition, a Kid’s Night on Broadway ticket includes restaurant discounts, parking discounts, educational programs, and additional special events including: KidzVuz Broadway video contest, Madame Tussauds New York all-access pass for kids, and Schmackary’s “Official Cookie of Kids’ Night on Broadway” in-store promotion.

BROADWAY: Beautiful - The Carole King Musical, The Bridges of Madison County, Bronx Bombers, Chicago, A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder, Jersey Boys, Kinky Boots, The Lion King, Mamma Mia!, Matilda the Musical, Motown the Musical, Newsies, Once, The Phantom of the Opera, Pippin, Rock of Ages, Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella, Wicked. OFF-BROADWAY: Avenue Q, iLuminate, Murder for Two, Stomp.

Many Times Square area eateries will offer specials for Kids’ Night on Broadway ticket-holders.
